You have given the Nation a strong Government with a full majority. Will you do the same for Jharkhand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Dhanbad, Jharkhand on Tuesday 9thDecember 2014. He explained to the people of Dhanbad the importance of the coming five years for the development of Jharkhand and added that in such a crucial time it is important that Jharkhand gets a strong and stable BJP government that will work for the development of the State. He said, “You have given the Nation a strong Government with a full majority. You have to do the same for Jharkhand as well.”

Shri Modi talked about the initiatives of the Central government such as the Jan Dhan Yojana and the Make in India concept that would give a boost to employment and manufacturing across India. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Central government towards financial inclusion of the poorest of the poor.

Taking on the opposition for their bankrupt ideas the Prime Minister affirmed, “To keep themselves relevant they go to Jharkhand and J&K but they have nothing new to say. They say what they said during Lok Sabha elections. There is so much bankruptcy among the opposition parties. And they have ruined the Nation so much that people are not ready to forgive them.” He added, “I am sure they will not improve. These are 60 year old habits and we want to change things here.”

I assure the youth and people- your dreams are my dreams: PM Modi in J&K

Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi campaigned in Billawar and Jammu City today. The Prime Minister said, “I assure the youth, I assure the people- your dreams are my dreams.” Shri Modi also stressed upon the fact that all the calculations of political pundits were proven wrong in Lok Sabha polls. He urged the voters to turn out in large numbers and vote on what is to happen in the days to come and not what has already happened.
Shri Modi said that people are tired of corruption, bad governance and dynastic politics. He said that the people of J&K are now looking up to development and a new alternative in the BJP. The Prime Minister also noted the prospects of tourism in the state. Shri Narendra Modi stressed that everyone in the regionhave got to get equal opportunities for development.

People of India have voted for development, and this election has laid the foundation of Adhunik Bharat.

Speaking to a massive crowd of supporters in his second victory rally, Shri Narendra Modi expressed gratitude and thanked the people for affirming their support for the BJP. Addressing the people of Ahmedabad on the evening of 16th May, within hours of the NDA’s landslide victory in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Shri Narendra Modi assured them of his dedication and determination to work for the peace and progress of the Nation.
Shri Modi thanked the people of Ahmedabad for reposing their faith, despite the fact that he had been unable to address even a single rally in the city. He also thanked the people of the Nation for showing their support and showering their blessings, and stated how this victory was a first-of-its-kind in history since it is for the first time that a Party, other than the Congress, had gained an outstanding majority on its own.
Shri Modi spoke of how such massive support brought along added responsibilities on the Party, and assured the people of BJP’s dedicated focus on ensuring developing and people’s progress. He stated that post the declaration of the results, the need-of-the-hour was to involve everyone in the Nation’s development journey, and affirmed of his vision to engage every Party and Person in the growth story.

Shri Modi spoke of how the ‘politics of divide’ had ended today, and the stage had been set for the ‘politics of uniting and developing’. Shri Modi said that despite the disruptive efforts of certain factions at defaming Shri Modi, the Nation had voted solely for the good governance and development modules of the BJP. “It is the youth of India who led from the front in this election, rising above differences of caste and creed. People of India have voted for development. I am seeing the start of a Bhavya and Divya Bharat,” said Shri Modi.
He spoke of how the Election results had disproved the propaganda by vested interest groups, and applauded the people for showing their support for the BJP’s sole agenda of development. “Posts come and go, but this election has laid foundations of Adhunik Bharat. Development is the only agenda that can save the nation,” said Shri Modi.
He also recalled the ‘jan andolan’ attitude prevalent in the minds of the people during pre-Independence, and called upon the people to inculcate the same and work towards making development a mass movement. Shri Modi urged the people to keep development as the core of every pursuit and contribute unitedly in making India prosper.
Rejecting the claims of an anti-establishment victory, Shri Modi spoke of how this resounding win was centered around the ray of hope for the people of the Nation – their ray of hope to free themselves from the shackles of misgovernance. He also thanked the people of Gujarat for enabling him step ahead and work for the Nation. “Your right over me will remain. Just call for me and I will be there,” said Shri Modi.

Maa Ganga has made me yours. I thank you for your affection: Narendra Modi in Varanasi

On Saturday 17th May 2014 Shri Narendra Modi sought the blessings of Baba Vishwanath and Maa Ganga during his visit to Varanasi. He thanked the people of Varanasi for electing him and said that he does not only want the votes of the people but also more importantly their support in creating a better Kashi. BJP National President Shri Rajnath Singh, UP BJP President Shri Laxmikant Bajpai and General Secretary of the BJP Shri Amit Shah were present on the occasion.
Shri Modi talked at length about the glorious history and culture of Varanasi and pointed that till Varanasi does not become the Rashtra Guru, India cannot become the Jagat Guru. He gave a clarion call to focus on cleanliness and added that when the nation celebrates Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary in 2019 we should ensure a clean India, which would be the best tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.

During his address on the banks of the River Ganga Shri Modi reiterated his commitment towards cleaning the Ganga. He said, “It is Maa Ganga who has made me yours. Not everybody gets such occasions as I have got today and that is why I say that Maa Ganga has decided that I should do a few things.” He stressed on the need to make the Ganga clean and restore the glory of the river.
Thanking the people of Varanasi for electing him, Shri Modi said that even though he was not able to communicate with them, the people of Varanasi gave a stamp of approval to his silence and elected him with a thumping majority. He said, “Jo bina maange parose use Maa kehte hain, mujhe Banaras ki janta se maangne ka bhi saubhagye nahi mila.”
“Commenting on the Lok Sabha elections Shri Modi said that people heard about coalitions to form Governments but this time coalitions are being formed to remain the active voice of the Opposition.

The PM paid reverence to the ‘proud son of India’ and stated that Maharana Pratap’s life symbolised courage, patriotism and sacrifice of the greatest measure.

PM reconstitutes National Committee to commemorate the 125th Birth Anniversary of Shri Jawaharlal Nehru

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has reconstituted the National Committee to commemorate the 125th Birth Anniversary of India`s first Prime Minister, Shri Jawaharlal Nehru. The Prime Minister will himself chair the Committee.
The first meeting of the Committee will be held soon after Deepawali.
